From our early years in New York City, Happy Alta Ridgewood experienced the trials of immigrating to a place full of opportunity yet layered with challenges. The high-crime era of 1990s Queens deeply shaped our understanding of resilience and the struggles faced by marginalized communities. Our Dominican heritage, combined with a strong NYC upbringing, continues to inspire our mission — to give back to the neighborhoods that made us who we are.
